Urban Design Guidelines for Huairou Science City

Starting from the overall level of the city, from a macro perspective, this design sets the overall tone of the strategic positioning, population scale, index system, planning strategy, spatial structure, functional layout, and image and appearance of Huairou Science City. In addition, this design has established the planning structure of one core gathering the core, Huairou-Miyun Linkage, one belt embellishing the city, coordinated development of forest and farmland. The design also puts forward the concept of composite city, characteristic style, forest-style city, clustering and intensive mode.

Urban design guideline of Huairou Science City is composed of two parts: urban design plan and urban design guideline. The urban design plan extends and carries out the core concepts and main indicators put forward by the overall urban design and closely integrates the actual conditions of the region and the needs of construction and development, and implements the functional structure and main indicators determined by the overall urban design at the block depth and space level, and deepen and refine the contents of urban space form and urban space environment. During the design process, it is important to closely dock with the control plan and other special plans, and finally form an urban design result that matches the depth of the control plan, and provide support for the preparation of control plans and urban design guidelines. The urban design guidelines revolve around urban design schemes to absorb relevant control requirements of each special plan, translate core space value content into mandatory and guiding control elements, and translate the spatial design blueprint into provisions and plans for implementation management. The compilation depth of urban design guidelines is matched with the control plan, and work together to be used as restrictions on land development and area construction, and implement dynamic and long-term management over the planning implementation process.
